During the morning hours of February 14, 2015, officers with the
Huntsville Police Department responded to a robbery at Heartfield
Florist, located in the 1500 block of Sam Houston Avenue.
The suspect is an African-American male approximately 6'1 "-6'4" in
height and of medium build. He entered the storage room of the
florist with a dark colored handgun and demanded money from the
two employees present. The suspect briefly searched the room,
bound the victims, and fled the scene with an undetermined amount
of money. It is possible that there was a second suspect in the
area as the suspect in the business could be heard talking to
another person, possibly on a cell phone.
During the investigation, detectives have obtained a drawing
(attached) of the suspect with the assistance of a sketch artist with
the Texas Department of Safety. The Huntsville Police Department
is asking for assistance from the community in identifying the
person pictured. Anyone with information about this investigation
should contact HPD at or Crime Stoppers at
294-9494.
