The Huntsville Public Library is pleased to host a series of five Personalized
Genealogy Classes taught by Johnnie Jo Dickenson, Professional Genealogist.
Topics will be chosen by the attendees during the first class - the Evaluation
Meeting - on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in
the Library's Dickenson Genealogy Room.
Attendees will meet in the Dickenson Room from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the
following four Thursdays:January 15, January 22, January 29 and February 5.

In observation of Black History Month, the class on February 5 will focus on
African American research, in which individuals can face unique and challenging
circumstances as they trace their ancestry.
Attendees need to bring all their personal research, including, but not limited to,
family histories; census information; family trees; Bible records; birth, marriage
and death records; family sheets; DNA results; and family medical history. Bring
all notes and research, regardless. Handouts for each class will be provided as
needed.
Registration for this series of free classes is required. Online registration is
available at www.myhuntsvilielibrary.com. Click on the Programs icon on the
site and scroll down for additional information and for the registration link.
