MINUTES FROM THE HUNTSVILLE CITY COUNCIL AND PLANNING COMMISSION JOINT WORKSHOP HELD ON THE 17 DAY

CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, COUNTY OF WALKER, TEXAS, AT 3:30 P.M.
The Council met in a joint workshop with the Planning Commission with the following:
COUNCILMEMBERS PRESENT: Mac Woodward, Andy Brauninger, Lydia Montgomery, Don H. Johnson, Keith D. Olson, Joe
Emmett, Tish Humphrey, Ronald Allen, Joe P. Rodriquez
COUNCILMEMBERS ABSENT: None
PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT: Bill Barry, Leroy Hilton, Eric Johnston, Marilyn Soffar, S.O. Woods, Jr.
PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBERS ABSENT: David Anderson, Tommy Cummings
OFFICERS and STAFF PRESENT: Matt Benoit, City Manager, Clasina Watson, Deputy City Secretary, Aron Kulhavy, Director
of Community and Economic Development
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Mac Woodward called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m.
2. WORKSHOP – The City Council will meet with the Planning Commission to review major subdivision preliminary plats.

Aron Kulhavy, Director of Community and Economic Development, presented preliminary plats for High Grade Park Subdivision
located at the southeast intersection of State Highway 19 between Ryans Ferry Road and FM 2821, and Manor at Elkins Lake
Subdivision located on the east side of Elkins Lake Subdivision at Wellington Drive. He noted that both subdivisions meet all
requirements of the Development Code. Developers presented the construction, design, and engineering for both subdivisions. A
question and answer session followed. Overall concerns for both subdivisions were drainage and detention, easements, egress
and ingress, and topography.
3. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Woodward adjourned the meeting at 4:55 p.m.
