A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE JOINT CITY -
STATE IMPROVEMENT OF MOFFITT- SPRINGS ROAD; DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY; AND PROVIDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS,
THAT:
Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agree-
ment with the State of Texas for the joint City -State improvement
of Moffitt - Springs Road.
Section 2: The City agrees to furnish the necessary right -of -way and
provide grading, drainage structures, select material, right -of-
way markers, sodding, erosion control, barricades and traffic
control for said improvement, provided that the State completes
the subbase, base and surfacing of the road and adds the completed
road to the state system for future maintenance responsibility.
Section 3: Council hereby finds that this agreement must be presented to
the State immediately in order to qualify for funding.
Section 4: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption by Council.
