RESOLUTION NO. 81 -15
A RESOLUTION INCREASING CHARGES FOR CITY REFUSE AND GARBAGE
COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL SERVICES.
WHEREAS, The Huntsville Code of Ordinances provides in Section 9 -4
of Chapter 9 entitled "Garbage and Refuse," that there shall be charged,
assessed and collected from the owner or occupants of each residential
unit within the City, including private residences, apartments, and
mobile homes, and from commercial or business houses, such charges for
refuse and garbage collection services as may be determined from time to
time by the City Council of the City of Huntsville; and
WHEREAS, a thorough study has been made of the existing sanitation
costs and rates by the Director of Finance and the Director of Public
Services and it has been found that the following increases are
necessary to generate the required funds needed for the operation; and
WHEREAS, it is the City Council's intention that the sanitation
services be self- supporting as are the water and sewer operations, and
to this accomplishment,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS,
that:
Section 1. The following charges shall be levied for refuse and garbage
collection services:
A. Residential Collection
