RESO 1985-04 - Housing Plan AdoptedRESOLUTION NO. 85 -4
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE,
TEXAS, ADOPTING A HOUSING PLAN AS AN ELEMENT OF THE
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE.
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes its responsibility for
establishing a Housing Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to improve and maintain the quality
of its Housing; and
WHEREAS, in order to insure objectivity, consistency, and equality in
meeting the needs of the community, it is necessary to document and
justify such policy in accordance with predetermined and agreed upon
goals and objectives; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Huntsville has
studied, debated and recommended the adoption of such Housing Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the Housing Plan as an element
of the Comprehensive Plan:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS:
THAT the Housing Plan attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and made a part
hereof exclusive of housing improvement strategies and recommendations
(pp 39 -43) for all purposes is adopted as a component of the
Comprehensive Plan of the City of Huntsville; and
THAT such Housing Plan shall at all times be kept current with regard
to the needs of the City of Huntsville and reflective of the official
views of the City Council and shall be reviewed annually by the City
Planning Commission; and
