RESO 1988-09 - Community Marketing ProgramRESOLUTION NO, 88 -9 A RESOLUTION OF THE HUNTSVILLE CITY COUNCIL ENDORSING AND SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY ASSESSMENT MARKETING PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND EMPLOYEES TO COOPERATE IN THE COMMUNITY SELF - ANALYSIS WHEREAS: WHEREAS: CAM is a community self - analysis, marketing program designed for towns and the program's contents and procedures broad based involvement of elected municipal officials, city employees, citizens of the community; and planning and cities; and provide for a and appointed leaders and WHEREAS: an analysis of community facilities, services and functions, and a selecting of goals and objectives are the two major components included in the program. CAM objectives are the two major components included in the program. CAM objectives are to provide a comprehensive and systematic analysis of community management practices and activities; to provide for evaluating the adequacy and quality of each community facility, service and function; and to provide a method for community leaders and officials to establish priorities for community growth and development. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED that the Huntsville City Council endorses and supports the Community Assessment Marketing Program and authorizes the City Manager and employees to cooperate in the community self - analysis, and, further, the citizens of Huntsville are urged to support the effort.
