A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN TEXAS
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION'S INNOVATIVE FINANCE
PROGRAM; AND MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS
RELATED THERETO.

The City of Huntsville desires to participate in the Innovative Finance Program to
install security items at the Huntsville Municipal Airport; and
The City of Huntsville hereby offers 25% of project costs to match 75% federal
funds, currently estimated to be $5,000 in local funds; and
Local funds will be available to meet project expenditures; and
The City of Huntsville agrees to operate and maintain the installed security items for
the useful life of the asset; and
The City of Huntsville hereby requests financial assistance from the Texas
Department of Transportation for installation of the security items; and
The City of Huntsville intends to name the Texas Department of Transportation as
its agent for the purposes of applying for, receiving and disbursing all funds for these
improvements and for the administration of contracts necessary for the
implementation of these improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Huntsville, Texas, that:
SECTION 1: The City of Huntsville hereby directs Gene Pipes, City Manager to execute on behalf
of the City of Huntsville, at the appropriate time, and with the appropriate
authorizations of this governing body, all contracts and agreements with the State of
Texas, represented by the Texas Department of Transportation, and such other parties
as shall be necessary and appropriate for the implementation of the improvements to
the Huntsville Municipal Airport.
SECTION 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage by City Council.
