WHEREAS cancer is the number one disease killing children today; and
MMREAS tens of thousands of children and teenagers worldwide will be diagnosed
with cancer each year; and
WHEREAS childhood cancer spares no one, affecting children from every
socioeconomic background and
HWEREAS Optimist International prides itself on "Bringing Out the Best in Kids"
and is dedicated to ridding the world of childhood cancer.
NOW, THEREFORE, `BE IT HEREBYPROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as
the Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas, that:

AWARENESS MONTH"
