Huntville Public Library – Events for June
Story Time:
Summer is quickly approaching and the library has many fun activities planned over the next couple of
months. June Story Time will continue to be held on Wednesday mornings at 10:45 a.m.
Book Clubs
will be held every Thursday during the summer beginning June 11. The first book club is for ages 5-8
and begins at 2:00 p.m. and we will be reading, ‘Hank the Cowdog’. The second book club is for ages 9-12 and
begins at 2:45 p.m. and we will be reading ‘The Princess and the Goblin’ by George MacDonald.
Family Movie Night
will be held on Friday, June 12 at 5:30 p.m. in the library’s community room. The movie is
sponsored by the Texas Children’s Health Plan. Complimentary popcorn and drinks will be served.
Summer Reading Program -
Every Hero Has a Story – Saturday, June 13 at 12:30 p.m.
Heroes, Superheroes and Villains
will be presented on Tuesday, June 16 at 10:30 a.m. by Mick Corley of Texas
Mime Theatre. This program is generously sponsored by the Helen Wheat Fund and is for all ages. This program
has received rave reviews from libraries across Texas.

Lego Club
meets the 3 Tuesday of each month in the Children’s Room. This months’ meeting will be June 16 at
5:00 p.m. The club is for ages 5-12. Each meeting follows Lego history, ice breaker activities and a theme.
Delightful Doodlers
is a preschool craft program that meets every Monday in June at 11:00 a.m. The first meeting
will be held on Monday, June 1.
Krafty Kids
is a craft activity program for children ages 5-12 that meets every Friday in June at 4:00 p.m. The first
meeting will be held on June 5.
Superhero Crafts
is a craft activity program for children of all ages that will meet on Tuesday, June 23 at 3:30 p.m.

June 17 - Father’s Day/Growing Up
June 25 - Shake, Rattle & Roll
