A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS,
CONCURRING WITH THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION'S
PLACEMENT OF RIGHT -OF -WAY SIGNS AT EXITS 112 AND 118 TO INTERSTATE
HIGHWAY 45; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation ( "TxDOT ") proposes to change the
yield signs at Exits 112 and 118 from Interstate Highway 45 to State Highway 75 so that the motor
vehicles exiting Interstate Highway 45 will have the right -of -way; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntsville, Texas concurs with TxDOT's
decision to change the right -of -way signs at Exits 112 and 118; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS,
that:
SECTION 1: The City of Huntsville, Texas, concurs and agrees with TxDOT that:
a. The yield signs at Exit 112 for the north bound lanes of Interstate Highway 45 where the
exit ramp intersects with State Highway 75 should be changed so that the northbound and
southbound traffic on State Highway 75 shall yield to motor vehicles exiting from Interstate
Highway 45 at Exit 112; and
b. The yield signs at Exit 118 for the south bound lanes of Interstate Highway 45 where the
exit ramp intersects State Highway 75 should be changed so that the northbound and southbound
traffic on State Highway 75 shall yield to motor vehicles exiting from Interstate Highway 45 at Exit
118.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective from and after the date of its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 14TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 2000.
