A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS,
ADOPTING THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE LOCAL SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN;
AND MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO.
WHEREAS the City of Huntsville has developed a City of Huntsville Local Solid Waste Management
Plan through an interview public input process and identified specific Tong -range objectives
for solid waste management; and
WHEREAS the City of Huntsville Local Solid Waste Management was funded by the Houston - Galveston
Area Council (H -GAC) as a pass through grant, and was developed according to the Texas
National Resource Conservation Commission (TNRCC) guidelines subchapter "0" of the
TNRCC's Municipal Solid Waste Regulations (30 TAC Chapter 330); and
WHEREAS the TNRCC requires the City Council of the City of Huntsville to adopt the Local Solid Waste
Management Plan as part of the TNRCC approval process;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS,
THAT:
Section 1: The City Council of the City of Huntsville adopt the City of Huntsville Local Solid Waste
Management Plan to serve as a solid waste guide for the next years.
Section 2: This resolution shall be in effect immediately upon its adoption.
