RESO 2001-04 - Industrial ParkRESOLUTION NO. 2001-04 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS SUPPORTING THE NOMINATION OF A 67 ACRE TRACT, MORE OR LESS, IN HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS WHICH IS LOCATED AT A POINT OF BEGINNING AT THE INTERSECTION OF STATE HIGHWAY 19 AND STATE HIGHWAY 190 AND THEN NORTH ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 19 FOR APPROXIMATELY 1,345 FEET, THEN IN A WESTERLY DIRECTION FOR APPROXIMATELY 1,700 FEET, THEN IN A SOUTHERLY DIRECTION FOR APPROXIMATELY 2,113 FEET TO A POINT ON STATE HIGHWAY 190, THEN IN A WESTERLY DIRECTION ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 190 APPROXIMATELY 1,813 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING; DESIGNATING AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE TO ACT IN ALL MATTERS PERTAINING TO THE NOMINATION OF THE INDUSTRIAL PARK; AND FURTHER DESIGNATING A LIAISON TO ACT ON ALL MATTERS PERTAINING TO THE INDUSTRIAL PARK ONCE NOMINATED. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntsville, Texas desires to create the proper economic and social environment to induce the investment of private resources in productive business enterprises and to provide employment to residents of the City; and WHEREAS, the growth of industry in the City is an important aspect of a diverse economic development plan; and WHEREAS, it is necessary and in the best interest of the city to nominate such area as an industrial park; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS: Section1: That the City hereby nominates a 67 acre tract of land, more or less, in the City of Huntsville as described above and the map attached hereto as "Exhibit A" as an industrial park. Section 2: Section 3: That the City Council directs and designates the Mayor as the City's authorized representative to act in all matters pertaining to the nomination of the area described above and in Exhibit A as an industrial park. That the City Council further directs and designates the Director of Community Services as liaison to oversee activities and communications with all qualified businesses.
