RESO 2001-02 - Entergy-Team CityRESOLUTION NO. 2001-02
WHEREAS, Entergy sponsors its Team City program to help cities and towns
with self-assessment, planning and enhancement of the local economy; and
WHEREAS, the programs designed to involve a board base of local elected and
appointed officials, key city employees and representatives form various community
groups and key segments of the population; and
WHEREAS, key components of the program are an analysis of community
facilities, services and function and development of community goals and objectives;
and
WHEREAS, Entergy's Team City program provides the city with access to
community development resources it otherwise would have difficulty obtaining; and
WHEREAS, the city should strive to take advantage of all available programs
and resources to help it grow and prosper; and
WHEREAS, the Team City program emphasize partnerships between various
governments and community entities that have a similar vision for their city or town;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Huntsville City Council
endorses and supports Entergy's Team City community improvement partnership and
authorizes the city manager and employees to cooperate in the community self-
analysis, and in addition, urges all citizens in the city to support and get involved in the
Team City program.
