A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE,
TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE REGIONAL RECYCLING
TRANSFER STATION FEASIBILITY STUDY THAT IDENTIFIES THE COST
AND BENEFITS ASSOCIATED WITH THE ESTABLISHMENT AND
OPERATION OF A REGIONAL RECYCLING TRANSFER STATION.
WHEREAS The Houston - Galveston Area Council (H -GAC) is directed by the Texas
Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to administer Solid Waste
grants for implementation of a study to analyze the financial feasibility for
the City to create a Regional Recycling Transfer Station; and
WHEREAS The City of Huntsville received a $50,000 grant from H -GAC as a pass
through grant to conduct the Regional Recycling Transfer Station
Feasibility Study; and
WHEREAS The TCEQ requires the City Council of the City of Huntsville to accept
the Regional Recycling Transfer Station Feasibility Study as a part of the
TCEQ approval process;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Huntsville accepts the City of Huntsville
Regional Recycling Transfer Station Feasibility Study to serve as a
resource for long range development.
SECTION 2: This resolution shall be in effect immediately upon its adoption.
