A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS ENDORSING THE
PLACEMENT OF A PLAQUE AT THE NATIONAL GUARD
ARMORY TO BE PROVIDED THROUGH PRIVATE
DONATIONS TO HONOR THE MEN OF THE TEXAS 36TH
DIVISION, SECOND WORLD WAR
the City of Huntsville has a rich history of notable citizens that have unselfishly
contributed to their country; and
it is vitally important for the community to recognize these acts; and
Colonel M.B. Etheridge and his compatriots of the Texas 36th Division
demonstrate valor and honor throughout the Second World War; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Huntsville, Texas, that the Mayor, City Council and City Staff enthusiastically endorse the
placement of a plaque at the National Guard armory to be provided through private donations to
honor these men.
