A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO REQUEST GRANT FUNDING FROM THE
H -GAC FY 2007 SOLID WASTE IMPLEMENTATION GRANT PROGRAM, AND TO
ACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO
THE GRANT APPLICATION AND ANY SUBSEQUENT GRANT CONTRACT AND
PROJECT ACTIONS THAT MAY RESULT.
WHEREAS, the City of Huntsville is committed to providing solid waste collection services for
its citizens which maximize potential recycling benefits; and
WHEREAS, the City of Huntsville is committed to reducing the amount of heavy solid waste
such as appliances, furniture and felled trees that litter our community; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Huntsville to apply for funding under the
H -GAC FY 2007 SOLID WASTE IMPLEMENTATION GRANT PROGRAM;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to request grant funding from the H -GAC
FY 2007 Solid Waste Grants Program, committing local funds for as detailed in the Grant
Application Budget, and to act on behalf of the City of Huntsville in all matters related to the
Grant application and any subsequent grant contract and project , tion, that may result.
