AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE,
TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 17, WATER AND SEWER, OF ITS CODE OF
ORDINANCES TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL MEANS OF SECURING PAYMENT
OF UTILITY SERVICE BILLS; AND MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED
THERETO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS:
Section 1. Chapter 17, Water and Sewer, of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Huntsville, Texas, is hereby amended by the adoption of a new
Section 17 -12(e) that shall read as follows:
Section 17 -12. Deposits or bonds to secure payment of
Utility Service Bills
(e) Security for payment of utility service charges may
be made by cash deposit with City, approved bond, or approved
certificate of deposit assigned to City.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
