RESO 2007-12 - Vote for WCAD Board for 2008-09 RESOLUTION NO. 2007-12 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, DETERMINING THE VOTE OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR CANDIDATE(S) TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE WALKER COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT; AND MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO. The candidates names have been compiled and are listed on the enclosed "Official Ballot". KISER www.walkercountyanpraisal.com November 8, 2007 Sec. 6.03 of the Texas Property Tax Code describes the procedure to follow during Board of Director nomination and election and is more specifically described in subsection (d) as follows: (d) The voting entitlement of a taxing unit that is entitled to vote for directors is determined by dividing the total dollar amount of property taxes imposed in the district by the taxing unit for the preceding tax year by the sum of the total dollar amount of property taxes imposed in the district for that year by each taxing unit that is entitled to vote, by multiplying the quotient by 1000 and by rounding the product to the nearest whole number. That number is multiplied by the number of directorships to be filled.
