our community has been made a better home for all due to the presence of
Larry Fusaro; and
Larry has been involved in Boy Scouting for many years, achieving the
rank of Eagle and earning the Silver Beaver Award before becoming a
much lauded leader to many local Scouts of Troop 114, including nearly
eighty Eagles; and
Larry has been an elementary science teacher in Huntsville for nearly
thirty years, inspiring and encouraging students and faculty with whom
he works; and
many of those who those who nominated Larry mentioned his regular
volunteerism at the HEARTS Museum, participation in the Huntsville
Men's Choir, and involvement at University Heights Baptist Church and
the Huntsville Enrichment Activities Program; and
WHEREAS there were many deserving nominees this year, highlighting Larry's
exceptional example to and care of our citizens, especially our youth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as
Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas that:
March 19, 2012
be declared: "Larry Fusaro Day"
in the City of Huntsville, and encourage all citizens to recognize Larry Fusaro's
contributions to our community.
