ORD 1982-27 - Parking LimitsORDINANCE NO. 82-27 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, DESIGNATING PORTIONS OF AVENUE F, AVENUE M, CNU3STIMUERS STREET AND 9TH STREET AS NO PARKING AND TWO HOUR PARKING ZONES; PROVIDING A PENALTY UF UP TU $2UU A DAY FUR CERTAIN VIOLATIONS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, THAT: Section 1: The following described curb zones and areas are UBsigDateU as no parkiny zones: Street Name Side of Street Limits Avenue F East 9th Street to 75' South of 9th Street Avenue F West 9th Street to 150' North of 9th Street Avenue M East 90/ South of 16th Street to 3U/ North of 16th Street Avenue M West 18th Street to 90' North of 16th Street Crosstimbers North 1-45 to WO' East of Willow Bend 9th Street North Avenue l t¢ Avenue F 9th Street South Avenue F to Roans Ferry Road Section 2: The following described curb zones and areas are designated as two hour parkiny zones. Street Name Type of Limit Side of Street Limits Crosstimbers 2 Hour South 1-45 to Hickory Avenue Section 3: Schedules III and IV of Chapter 12 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Huntsville, Texas, shall be revised to reflect the amendments made by this Ordinance. Section 4: The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to cause the posting of proper signs at the above described intersection. Section 5: It shall be unlawful for a driver of a vehicle to disobey the instruction of the signs placed in accordance with the provision of this Ordinance, unless at the time otherwise directed by a Police, Officer. Section 6. Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this Ordinance or failing to comply with any requirement of this Ordinance will be guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to a fine of up to two hundred ($200.00) dollars upon conviction. Each day during or upon which said person shall violate or continue violation of any provision of this Ordinance or non - compliance with any requirement of this Ordinance shall constitute a distinct and separate offense. The violation of any provision of this Ordinance or the failure to comply with any requirement of this Ordinance shall each constitute a distinct and separate offense. Section 7. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this Ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and such holding shall not affect any of the remaining provisions of this Ordinance. Section 8. All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed; provided, however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such inconsistency and in all other respects this ordinance shall be cumulative of other Ordinances regulating and governing the subject matter covered by this Ordinance. Section 9. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10) days from its passage by the City Council. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice hereof by causing the caption of this Ordinance to be published in the official City newspaper at least twice within ten (10) days after the passage of this Ordinance.
