ORD 1982-15 - Design CriteriaORDINANCE NO. 82-15
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, AMENDING ITS DESIGN CRITERIA
MANUAL TO PERMIT UNPAVED STREETS IN CERTAIN
SITUATIONS; AND MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO.
WHEREAS on .I:30421 the City of Huntsville adopted a design
criteria manual outlining standards for public improvements;
and
WHEREAS said standards are applicable to the subdivision of
reserve tracts of previously subdivided property; and
WHEREAS City Council desires to allow developers to complete
development of certain previously platted reserves under the
developer's preexisting development scheme;
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, that:
Section 1. The Design Criteria Manual of the City of
Huntsville, Texas, is hereby amended by adoption of a new
subsection 312.5, Existing Subdivisions, that shall read:
The provisions of this section shall not apply to
reserve areas of twenty-five (25) acres, or less, of
subdivisions previously platted and filed with the Walker
County Clerk; provided, however, that streets in such
subdivision of reserve areas shall be built to same standard
as the other streets in said subdivisions.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage by City Council.
