AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL AMENDING CHAPTER 4A,
AUTOMOBILE WRECKERS, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, TO ALLOW CERTAIN WRECKER
PERMIT OPERATIONS TO MAINTAIN THE VEHICLE DEPOSITORY
WITHIN THE CITY AND ITS EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION;
MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS AND FINDINGS RELATED THERETO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, that:
Section 1. Chapter 4A, Automobile Wreckers, of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of Huntsville, Texas, is hereby amended by the repeal of
subsection 4A - 4(d), as presently constituted, and by the adoption
of a new subsection 4A - 4(d) that shall read as follows:
Chapter 4A - Automobile Wreckers
Section 4 . .
(d) No class A permit shall be issued to any applicant unless the
applicant's vehicle depository is wholly or partially located within
the incorporated limits of the City of Huntsville, Texas or its extra-
territorial jurisdiction. Provided further, that such permit shall
be void if he later moves his vehicle depository to a location which
is further outside the City or its extraterritorial jurisdiction.
The vehicle depository shall comply with City Code of Ordinances,
Chapter 13, Salvage Operations, Generally, sections 13.36 through
13 -40.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after
its passage by City Council.
