ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE GIVING OF NOTICE OF
INTENTION TO ISSUE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS,
WATERWORKS AND SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM REVENUE BONDS,
SERIES 1983

WHEREAS, the City Council of the CITY OF HUNTSVILLE,
TEXAS (the "City "), deems it necessary and advisable that
the bonds hereinafter described be authorized, issued, sold
and delivered as soon as possible; and
WHEREAS, it is hereby officially found and determined
that a case of emergency or urgent public necessity exists
which requires the holding of the meeting at which this
ordinance is passed, such emergency or urgent public ne-
cessity being that the proceeds from the sale of the City's
proposed bonds are required as soon as possible and without
delay for necessary and urgently needed public improvements,
and that said meeting was open to the public as required by
law, and public notice of the date, hour, place, and purpose
of said meeting was given, all as required by Article 6252-
17, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, as amended;
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS:
1. The Notice attached hereto shall be published in
English and Spanish in The Huntsville Item, which is a
newspaper published in the City, and is the official news-
paper of the City, at least once a week for two consecutive
weeks prior to April 19 , 1983, with the date of the first
publication to be at least fourteen (14) days prior to April
19 , 1983.
2. Such bonds shall be sold at public sale upon
sealed bids after at least thirty days notice thereof has
been published at least once in the Texas Bond Reporter, a
publication carrying municipal bond notices and devoted
primarily to financial news, and in the official newspaper
of the City.
