ORDINANCE NO. 84 -28
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING TRANSFER OF FRANCHISE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntsville, Texas, has heretofore
granted a franchise to Telecable, Inc. of Huntsville under the
franchise dated August 11, 1976; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntsville, Texas, did on the 26th
day of January, 1977, transfer the rights and obligations under said
franchise from Telecable, Inc. of Huntsville to Community Tele-
Communications, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, a contract has been entered into between Texas Telecable, Inc. and
Community Tele- Communications, Inc. whereby Texas Telecable, Inc. will
purchase the assets of the cable television system in Huntsville,
Texas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Huntsville, Texas, that it hereby approves and consents to the
transfer to Texas Telecable, Inc. of the aforementioned franchise.
This approval and consent is given with the understanding said
franchise is, as amended, valid, and there exist no problems which
could result in the franchise not remaining in full force and effect
from this date forward.
This Assignment shall take effect upon receipt by the City of written
notice by Community Tele- Communications, Inc. and acceptance by Texas
Telecable, Inc. that the sale has been consummated and that Texas
Telecable, Inc. agrees to comply with the provisions of the franchise.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Huntsville, Texas,
on the 13th day of November, 1984.
