ORD 1985-26 - Adopt FY 85-86 BudgetORDINANCE NO. 85 -26 AN ORDINANCE FINDING THAT ALL THINGS REQUISITE AND NECESSARY HAVE BEEN DONE IN PREPARATION AND PRESENTMENT OF AN ANNUAL BUDGET; APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, FOR THE PERIOD OCTOBER 1, 1985 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 1986; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Huntsville, Texas, and the Statutes of the State of Texas, require that an annual budget be prepared and presented to the City Council of the City of Huntsville, Texas, prior to the beginning of the fiscal year of such City, and that a public hearing be held prior to the adoption of such budget; and WHEREAS, the budget for the year October 1, 1985 through September 30, 1986, has heretofore been presented to the City Council and due deliberation had thereon, and a public hearing having been held as required by law and all comments and objections have been considered: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, that: Section 1: The Budget for the City of Huntsville, Texas now before the said City Council for consideration, be, and the same is hereby, adopted as the budget for said City for the period of October 1, 1985, through September 30, 1986. Section 2: The appropriation for the ensuing fiscal year shall be fixed and determined as follows: I. General Fund $ 5,625,273 II. General Debt Service Fund 568,593 III. Water and Sewer Fund 6,012,088 IV. Sanitation Fund 1,551,200 V. Revenue Sharing 370,000 VI. Design Engineering Fund 533,289 Total All Funds $14,660,443 Section 3: The City Secretary is hereby directed to maintain a copy of the adopted budget and to file a copy thereof with the City Library and the County Clerk, and to publish a notice indicating the availability of the budget. Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage. PASSED AND APPROVED this 10th day of September, 1985.
