ORD 1989-10 - Designating Director of Finance (Tax Collect) 4-11-1989ORDINANCE NO. 89 -10
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, DESIGNATING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
AS TAX ASSESSOR - COLLECTOR, AND MAKING OTHER FINDINGS
AND PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO.
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Huntsville, Texas, that:
Section 1: The City's Director of Finance is hereby designated the Tax
Assessor - Collector for the City of Huntsville. State Property Tax
Code § 6.22(b).
Section 2: The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to acquire, pay
for and approve a bond payable to the City in an amount from
$2,500.00 to $100,000.00 conditioned upon the Director of
Finance's faithful performance of the duties of Tax
Assessor - Collector. State Property Tax Code ss 6.29.
Section 3: Patricia Allen is hereby directed and authorized to register as
the Chief Administrator of the tax office of the City of
Huntsville, texas, with the Texas Board of Tax Professional
Examiners. Texas Revised Civil Statute article 7244b.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage by City
Council.
