ORD 1993-28 - Increase Rates For Collection - Disposal Refuse 09-21-1993ORDINANCE NO. 93 -28 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 9, GARBAGE, REFUSE AND RUBBISH, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, INCREASING THE RATES FOR COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL OF REFUSE BY THE CITY; MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, that: SECTION 1: Chapter 9, "Garbage, Refuse and Rubbish ", of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Huntsville, Texas, is hereby amended by the repeal of Article VII, Rates, as presently constituted, and by the adoption of a new Article VII, that shall read as follows: ARTICLE VII. RATES Section 9 -79. Residential Collection Charges. The following monthly charges shall be assessed and collected from owners or occupants of each residential unit for refuse and garbage collection service: Single family residential pickup, minimum charge $11.60 /month Multi- family residential pickup a. individually metered units - collected without dumpster - collected with dumpster b. jointly metered units - collected without dumpster - collected with dumpster (credit given for vacancies @ $10.40 /each) $11.60 /occupied dwelling unit per month $10.40 /occupied dwelling unit per month $11.60 /dwelling unit per month $10.40 /dwelling unit per month Business minimum (residential) $15.20 /month Section 9 -71. Commercial Collection Charges. Elkins Lake Charges. Residents of Elkins Lake shall be charged for collection of refuse and garbage at the following rate: Single family residential pickup $14.50 /month Section 9 -74. Rates for other out -of -town service.
