AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE,
TEXAS, ADOPTING ADDRESS CHANGES FOR VARIOUS STREETS, AND
MAKING FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO.
WHEREAS the City Engineer has recommended changing various street addresses in the City in
order to facilitate mapping and emergency response to the residents and businesses of
the City; and
WHEREAS on September 6, 2001, the City Council conducted a public hearing on the proposed
street address changes; and
WHEREAS the City Engineer has considered the public comments and revised the proposed street
address changes; and
WHEREAS the City Council believes that It is in the interest of the public's health, safety and
welfare to have a consistent and reliable addressing of businesses and residences in the
City; now, therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, that.
Section I: The proposed street names and addresses shown in exhibit A, attached hereto and
made a part hereof, are hereby adopted as the official street names and addresses for
the locations indicated on that exhibit.
Section 2: The City Engineer is directed to amend all City maps to Incorporate the changes
adopted by this ordinance.
Section 3: The City Manager Is directed to change all street signs to incorporate the changes
adopted by this ordinance.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately.
