.3E IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Hunts.
Ville, Texas,-
I.
That the portion of Avenue 0 extending South from its
irt-reectior with Eleventh Street, in the City of Huntsville, Texas,,
to a point opposite the entrance to the grounds of the Huntsville
Memorial Hospital, a distance of some 400 feet, be improved by grad-
ing, filling and pavirg, with re-enforced concrete, according to
plans and specifications filed by the City Engineer, D* K. Caldwell,

Upon the oral application of the abutting property owners
said Street shall be improved by private contract between the said
abutting property ornerst the City and the person, firm or corpor-
ation filing the lowest and best bid for said improvement, without
the formality of assessing the pro rata part of the cost of said
improvement to the abutting property owners and without undertaking
to create the lien provided by law to secure such improverent,

That the City shall pay not exceeding one-third of the
total cost of said improvement and the balance shall be paid by
the abutting property owners, payment to be made in cash on the
completion and acceptance of the work by the City,

improvement and he shall file forthwith with the City Secretary plans
and soecificatiors for said Street improvement.

contract sball be awarded,
The above and foregoing ordinance was duly referred to the
Street and 3ridge Committee and by it corzidered and referred back
to the City Council with the recommendation that the same be adopted
and said ordinance was duly adopted and approved at a special meeting
0-f the City Council, a quorum being present, or the let day of January,
19,32.
