The City of Huntsville Recreation Services division is holding a full week of Zumba classes in an effort to benefit
the Walker County Senior Center.
According to Natalie Reid, Recreation Services coordinator, the first of four Zumba classes was held on Monday,
November 17, and the classes will continue through Thursday, November 20.
Each class will be held in the Huntsville Intermediate School's fifth-grade gymnasium beginning at 5:30 p.m.
"Since we take a short break from Zumba during the week of Thanksgiving, we have decided to make a special
effort this week to fit in a few more workouts and hold a food drive for the Walker County Senior Center," Reid
said. "Usually, the cost to attend a Zumba class is $2, but this week, admission is one non-perishable food item.
"We will also be selling Zumba t-shirts for$10 each on a first-come, first-served basis. We hope to see everyone

Zumba classes are typically held each Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30 p.m. with an admission fee of $2 per class or
$20 for 12 classes with purchase of a punch card. Classes have been cancelled for November 25 and 27 and will
resume Tuesday, December 2.
All ages are welcome and the classes can be modified to fit each participant's level of activity.
