MINUTES FROM THE HUNTSVILLE CITY COUNCIL AND PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING HELD ON THE

24 DAY OF JUNE 2014, IN THE HUNTSVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY, LOCATED AT 1219 13STREET IN THE CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE, COUNTY OF WALKER, TEXAS, AT 6:00 PM.
The City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission met in a special session with the following:
MEMBERS PRESENT: Mac Woodward, Andy Brauninger, Lydia Montgomery, Don H. Johnson, Keith D. Olson, Joe P. Rodriquez, Eric Johnston,
David Anderson (arrived 7:32 p.m.), Bill Barry, Tommy Cummings, Leroy Hilton, S.O. Woods, Jr.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Tish Humphrey, Ronald Allen, Joe Emmett, Marilyn Soffar

1. CALL TO ORDER – Mayor Woodward called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m.
2. INVOCATION AND PLEDGES – Commissioner Woods gave the invocation.
3. STATUTORY AGENDA
a. Presentation, public comment, discussion, and possible action on the proposed revisions to the Development
Code.
Kirk Bishop of Duncan & Assoc., consultants for the Development Code rewrite, reviewed the current draft of the
document, highlighting refinements, additions, and changes, as well as discussing the reasoning for them and the overall
reorganization of the Code. Aron Kulhavy, Director of Community and Economic Development, took the group through a
short series of questions to provide feedback for further direction to the draft.
4. MEDIA INQUIRIES RELATED TO MATTERS ON THE AGENDA
There were no media inquiries.
5. ITEMS OF COMMUNITY INTEREST
(Hear announcements concerning items of community interest from the Mayor, Councilmembers, and City staff for
which no action will be discussed or taken.)
6. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Woodward adjourned the meeting at 8:07 p.m.
