NOTICE OF ABATEMENT
Chico Williams; 39362, Woodlawn East, Lot 49; 105 Evans Lane in Huntsville, Walker
County, Texas
The above described properties have been found dilapidated, substandard or unfit by the City of
Huntsville Building Official. The conditions below render the buildings unsafe.
1. The structures are in such a condition as to constitute a public nuisance. The structures are
dangerous to human life and constitute a hazard to safety and health by reason of inadequate
maintenance, dilapidation, obsolescence or abandonment. A detailed report is on file with
the City of Huntsville Building Official.
2. The above described property has been found to be in violation of International Property
Maintenance Code Section 302.1, 302.4, 302.8. The rubbish, overgrown weeds and brush
and inoperable vehicle on your property is creating harborage for rats, fleas and mosquitoes.
These conditions render the property a health hazard.
If the repair of these conditions is not commenced by July 23, 2010, the City Building Official will
cause the buildings or structures to be moved or demolished, and the rubbish, overgrown vegetation
and brush to be mowed and cleaned. City building permits will be required prior to any repair,
movement, or demolition on the premises. All expenses incurred by the City Building Official will
be assessed against the buildings, the land on which they stand, and the owner.
Any person with an interest in the buildings may appeal the proposed action of the Building Official
by filing written notice within fifteen (15) days of the day of this notice with the City Board of
Adjustments and Appeals at the office of Central Inspection, City Service Center, 448 Highway 75
North, Huntsville, Texas 77340.
