INVITATION TO BID
Sealed bids addressed to Mr. Dewayne Coburn,
Manager, Southern Region Support Services,
Trinity River Authority of Texas. 1601 Normal
Park, Huntsville, Texas 77340
Huntsville Regional Water Supply System
Removaj,and Disposal of approximately 15,000
cubic yards of wet sludge from two (2) settling
ponds
will be received until 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March
23, 2010; at the Trinity River Authority's Southern
Region Office, 1601 Normal Park, Huntsville,
Texas, at which time and place the bids will be
publicly opened and read aloud. Any bids
received after 2:00 P.M. will be returned
unopened. Bids may be modified or withdrawn at,
anytime prior to the time set for opening bids.
Contract Documents consisting of drawings and
specifications willbe available in the office of the
Trinity River Authority of Texas.
Bids shall be accompanied by either a,Bid Bond
or certified check drawn upon a national or state
bank in an amount not less than 5 percent (5%)
of the total maximum bid price, payable without
recourse to the Trinity River Authority of Texas as
a guarantee that the bidder will within ten. (10)
days after notice of award enter into a Contract
and furnish a Performance Bond and Payment
Bond -upon the forms provided, each in the
amount of 100 percent (100%) of the Contract
Price, from a surety licensed to conduct business
in the state where the Project is located and
named in the current list of "Surety Companies
Acceptable on Federal Bonds" as published in
Circular 570 (amended) by the Audit Staff Bureau
of Accounts, U.S.Treasury Department. The
surety for the Performance Bond and Payment
Bond shall have an "A" minimum rating of
performance and a financial rating of
performance and a financial rating strength of five
times the Contract Price, all as stated in the
current "Best's Key Rating Guide, Property -
Liability." Each Bond shall be
accompanied by a "Power of Attorney"
authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety
and certified to include the date of the Bond.
Attention is called to the fact that there must be
paid on this Project.not less than the minimum
rate of wages for each classification of workman
required on the Project, as set forth in the
Contract Docurhents.
The Authority welcomes bids from historically
underutilized businesses.
The Authority reserves the right to reject any or
all bids and accept or reject any informalities.
