Good for you!
I know a few things about him—most you may have already; many I do not
have specific dates but would be glad to do a bit of research if it is
something you need; he:
· Has been named Most Outstanding County Clerk in the State
(year?)
· Acts as primary overseer for Gibbs Powell House
· Lead in the creation of the Walker County Heritage Foundation
· Participated in the African American history book and other
historical photo books of Walker County
· Lead various projects to preserve historical artifacts,
stories, pictures/postcards
· Served on the Physical Structure Team for the Wynne Home Arts
Center—2000-2004
· Continues to advise on the historical artifacts of the Wynne
Home –to present
· Transferred original photographs of the Wynne Home and its
owners to the Wynne Home Arts Center
· Served as Trustee and on various committees at First United
Methodist Church
· Acts as a major resource for anything and advisor to anyone
regarding Walker County/Texas history.
· Has one sister and several nieces and nephews. (I think his
mother was a friend of Eleanor Roosevelt and his father was the County
Judge in Walker County.)
