PROCLAMATION NO. 2009-05
WHEREAS the conferring of an Eagle Scout is one of the highest awards that can be
bestowed upon a Boy Scout; and
WHEREAS such an award is earned as a result of performing and successfully
completing the rigid requirements exacted to achieve an Eagle Scout Award;
and
WHEREAS as his Eagle Service Project, Tyler cleaned and cleared the banks of the
HISD Outdoor Education Center; and
WHEREAS On October 14, 2008 Tyler Nelson achieved Eagle Scout Rank; and
WHEREAS at a Court of Honor to be held at the Robert A. Josey Boy Scout Lodge in
Huntsville, Texas on Sunday, March 22, 2009, an Eagle Award will be
conferred upon Tyler Nelson; and
WHEREAS The City of Huntsville hereby recognizes this noteworthy achievement of
Tyler Nelson. He exemplifies the values that make a community strong.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me as
Mayor of the City of Huntsville, Texas that

be declared as :
“Tyler Nelson Day”
in Huntsville, Walker County, Texas and hereby congratulate and recognize Tyler Nelson for his
achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout.
