Proc. 2009-02 Severe Weater Awareness Week 2-22-28-2009
PROCLAMATION NO. 2009-02
WHEREAS, “Severe Weather Awareness Week” in the State of Texas is
February 22 – 28, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Each year brings the potential for violent weather to Texas;
and
WHEREAS, The Governor’s Division of Emergency Management, the National
Weather Service and the Federal Emergency Management
Agency (FEMA) have joined together in urging all citizens to
prepare for severe weather events and to educate themselves on
safety strategies.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the power vested in me
as the Mayor of the City of Huntsville, that
FEBRUARY 22 – 28, 2009
be designated as:
“SEVERE WEATHER AWARENESS WEEK”
in Huntsville, Texas.
