AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, GRANTING THE
PETITION REQUESTING ANNEXATION BY AREA LANDOWNER DOROTHY
THOMASON; PROVIDING FOR DIRECTIONS TO STAFF; AND DECLARING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, landowner Dorothy Thomason has filed a petition with the City of
Huntsville on June 5, 2008, requesting the City Council consider annexing a 51.0393 acre tract of
land situated in the Pleasant Gray Survey, Abstract No. 24;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUPWRL, "'Q1F, THE
CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS, that:

SECTION 1: The City Engineer is directed to prepare a service plan for the 11466"posed area and
call for public hearings for the proposed annexation in accordance ith the law;
and the City Secretary is directed to provide notice of the heatitlgs as prescribed
by applicable law.
SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after the date of its
passage.
