Thank you, Kristin Edwards During the early morning hours on Friday, July 18, a 12"water line on Normal Park ruptured. City Water crews immediately responded and commenced repairs, diverting traffic around the break and notifying impacted residents where possible. While repairs are being completed, water supply has been temporarily cut off to surrounding customers. "The line that was impacted was a 12" ductile iron main feed to the north side of town," said Carol Reed, Public Works Director. "According to our staff, the line was between 40 and 50 years old, and age may have been a factor in the sustained damage. "Our staff has ordered a specific fitting necessary to complete repairs which should be delivered by 11:30 a.m., at which point water supply should be restored within an hour and a half. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience." Any questions or concerns may be directed to the City of Huntsville Service Center at (936) 294-5700. ldui uiatl in III:da aii dui Deputy City Seciretairy/IPIK)GLy OtIhlluirotavllllo, ..texas t:936-291-5413 irxu 936-577-1787 1 .° kedwards@Fauntsvilletx.gov w www.huntsvilletx.gov 91- 0 Grab yours! .................................................................................................................................................................................................... ....................................................................................................................................................................................................... ........................................................................................................................................................................
