According to City Secretary Lee Woodward, up to fifteen citizens will be admitted to the program, and all sessions will be offered completely free of charge. "The City is now accepting applications for its City U. program, to be held this August through October, and we want to encourage all interested residents to apply," she said. "These sessions will provide an opportunity for the public to see inside its local government, and each week will focus on different functions of the City to provide greater understanding and familiarity with local government." Fifteen citizens of Walker County will be admitted, with priority given to city residents.
