MINUTES OF THE HUNTSVILLE CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON THE 23RD DAY OF JANUARY 2004, IN THE CITY
HALL, LOCATED AT 1212 AVENUE M IN THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, COUNTY OF WALKER, TEXAS AT 5:00 P.M.
The Council met in a special session with the following members present:

CALL TO ORDER [5:00 p.m.]
Mayor Davidson called the work session to order.
EXECUTIVE SESSION [5:00 -5:20 p.m.]
The City Council conducted a closed session under Texas Government Code, Chapter 551:
to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, and duties for certain positions with the City
including City Judge and /or Acting City Judge and such deliberations may include interviews with candidates forone or more of
these positions (Section 551.074); and
to consult with the City Attorney with regard to pending or contemplated litigation including the status of the tow truck
ordinance enforcement (Section 551.071).
RECONVENE
Councilmember Howard moved to appoint Judge Sandal as the Municipal Judge contingent upon his acceptance of the
terms as outlined by City Council: and Councilmember Woodward seconded the motion The motion passed 9 -0
