Proclamation No. 2023-30
WHEREAS Daughters of The Republic of Texas is a patriotic women’s organization founded in 1981 consisting of 106 chapters throughout Texas with each chapter having 10 districts; and
WHEREAS Daughters of The Republic of Texas Huntsville group is the President Houston Chapter of the organization; and
WHEREAS Daughters of The Republic of Texas is a genealogical organization that focuses on providing education through programs and events and preserving history; and
WHEREAS Daughters of The Republic of Texas keep the memory and spirits of those who gained the independence of Texas alive throughout the state.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Andy Brauninger, Mayor of Huntsville Texas,
do hereby proclaim,
