MINUTES OF THE HUNTSVILLE CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON THE 18TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 2008, IN THE CITY
HALL, LOCATED AT 1212 AVENUE M IN THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, COUNTY OF WALKER, TEXAS AT 6:OOPM.
The Council met in a special session with the following:
EMBERS PRESENT: J. Turner, Wayne Barrett, Tom Cole, Charles Forbus, Melissa Mahaffey, Lanny Ray, Mac
Dalene Zander
EMBERSABSENT: Clarence Griffin
PRESENT: Bill Baine, City Manager; Thomas Leeper, City Attorney; Stephanie Brim, City Secretary
CALL TO ORDER [5:33pm]
Mayor Turner called the meeting to order.
RECESS INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION [5:34- 8:08pm]
The City Council conducted a closed session under Texas Government Code, Chapter 551.074 - personnel matters regarding
the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee, for the
termination appeal of Bill Daugette. Mayor Turner briefly explained the process; Mr. Leeper and Mr. Daugette presented their
rases and answered questions from City Councilmembers. City Council retired to the Conference Room to deliberate on the
RECONVENE TO CONSIDER THE DETERMINATION OF THE APPEAL HEARING
Following deliberation, Mayor Turner announced that the City Council unanimously decided to uphold the City Managers
ADJOURNMENT [8:09pm]
Mayor Turner adjourned the meeting. ^
