MINUTES OF THE HUNTSVILLE CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON THE 7TH DAY OF JULY, 2008, IN THE CITY

The Council met in an emergency session with the following:

COUNCILMEMBERS ABSENT: Clarence Griffin
OFFICERS PRESENT: Gene Pipes, Interim City Manager; Thomas Leeper, City Attorney; Stephanie Brim, City
CALL TO ORDER [5:35pm]
Mayor Turner called the meeting to order.
EXECUTIVE SESSION [5:45- 8:25pm]
City Council conducted closed session as authorized by Texas Government Code, Chapter551, Section 551.074 —p
matters regarding the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public
employee; specifically to discuss the unexpected resignation of Interim City Manager Gene Pipes.
RECONVENE in OPEN SESSION [8:25pm]
seconded the motion. The motion passed 7 -1 with Councilmember Woodward voting against.
