MINUTES OF THE HUNTSVILLE CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON THE 13TH DAY OF MAY, 2008, IN THE CITY
LOCATED AT 1212 AVENUE M IN THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, COUNTY OF WALKER, TEXAS, AT 5:OOPM.
The Council met in a special session with the following:
COUNCILMEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor J Turner, Wayne Barrett, Tom Cole, Clarence Griffin, Melissa Mahaffey,
Woodward , Dalene Zender
COUNCILMEMBERS ABSENT: Jack Choate, Mickey Evans
OFFICERS PRESENT: Thomas Leeper, City Attorney; Stephanie Brim, City Secretary
SPECIAL SESSION
City Council conducted a special session to discuss the City Manager Search to include review of draft candidate profile
submitted by Arcus Public.
CALL TO ORDER [5:OOpm]
Mayor Turnercalled the meeting to order, then requested inputfrom each ofthe sitting and the newly - elected Councilr
regarding their thoughts on the process of finding the city manager to date, specifically with respect to Arcus
performance. Following lengthy discussion, Mayor Pro Tem Woodward moved to appoint a committee of up
Council? and Mayor Turner seconded the motion. The motion passed 7 -0. Mayor Turner appointed Councilmember
Woodward and Zander and himself to the committee.
