The Council met in a regular session with the following members present:
Kevin Evans, City Manager

Mayor Turner called the meeting to order.

C. Approve Ordinance 2007 -10 -02.1 amending the Budget amendments. [Winston Duke]
Councilmember Woodward made a motion to approve the consent agenda, and Councilmember Willett seconded
the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
STATUTORY AGENDA
a. Approve purchase of 24" Pipe for Palm Street Radial Project (Project #701 - 70106) in the amount of $19,689.60
from Coburn Plumbing Supply, to be funded from budgeted funds, as presented by Billie Smith,
Purchasing /Warehouse Buyer.
This project was designed to improve the pressure and the amount of water that could be pumped out of the Palm Str
Water Plant. The current piping configuration has several bottlenecks built in that restrict the amount of water that can
pumped out of the facility during periods of high demand. The installation of the 24" waterline from the plant to Sam Hous
Avenue is the first phase of the entire 24 " radial plan. This will complete the major purchases for the project.

Councilmember Woodward made a motion to approve a "Resolution Expressing Official Intent to Reimburse
iditures, and Councilmember Choate seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
PUBLIC COMMENTS (General)
Grady Black/Mike Byrd. Mr. Black and Mr. Byrd presented Council with a petition requesting speed control devices
on Normal Park Drive. They sited safety as an issue for speed control devices to be installed.
