ORDINANCE 2011 -37
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS,
AMENDING THE FISCAL AND BUDGETARY POLICY OF THE CITY OF
HUNTSVILLE BY AMENDING SECTION VI; AND MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS
RELATED THERETO.
WHEREAS The City of Huntsville Fiscal and Budgetary Policy was re- adopted on September 14, 2010, by Ordinance
No. 2010 -46; and
WHEREAS Section VI of the Fiscal and Budgetary Policy is recommended to be amended to comply with existing
law, and to provide fiscal procedures to promote efficiency and adequate controls in the administration of
the City's finances; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE,
TEXAS, that:
SECTION 1: The following sections of the Fiscal and Budgetary Policy of the City of Huntsville, Texas, is hereby
amended as set out in Exhibit A (attached):
Section VI, C Central Control
Section VI, D City Manager's Authority to Amend Budget
Section VI Purchasing
SECTION 2: If any portion of this Ordinance shall, for any reason, be declared invalid by any court of competent
jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining provisions hereof and the City Council
determines that it would have adopted this Ordinance without the invalid provision.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall take effective immediately from and after the date of its passage.
First Reading: May 7, 2011
Second Reading: PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 7t6 DAY OF JUNE 2011.
