The National Weather Service has issued a freezing rain advisory for Walker County from 3 a.m. Tuesday until 12 a.m. Wednesday. As well, according to Emergency Management Coordinator John Waldo, temperatures in the freezing range have been forecast for the same period. "A wintry precipitation window has been forecast for Tuesday, February 11 from 3 a.m. to midnight,"Waldo said. "At this point, we have a 20 to 40 percent chance of receiving ice accumulation from freezing rain during that time period, and temperatures will be freezing or below until early Wednesday."
