This area includes customers within Sycamore Avenue, Boettcher Mill, Rigsby Road, Wanza and Bearkat Blvd. For map details, please visit www.huntsvilletx.gov under City News. Blue recycling are being issued carts during the next two weeks. Effective January 1, 2014, garbage pickup will be on Tuesdays only and recycling pickup will be on Fridays only. Area #7, which began recycling in July 2013, has had a recycling participation rate of 38% to 49% of 535 recycling carts issued. Recycling Guidelines meetings will be held at the Walker Education Center at 1400 19th Street this Thursday, December 12, 2013 and Thursday, January 23, 2014 @ 6:00PM. The Director of Public Works, Carol Reed, will be presenting information on how to recycle. If you have any questions, please call the Solid Waste & Recycling Division at 936-294-5743.
