AN ORDINA�CE PROVIDING FOR THE CHA�GE OF A STREET NA:\IE WITHIN THE CITY OF HUNTSIVLLE, TEXAS; PROVIDING A REPEALING
CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING A SEVERABIL TITY CLAUSE. \\7HEREAS. it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Huntsville, Texas to change thename of a street in the City.NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OFHUNTSVILLE:SECTION I.That the facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this Ordinance arehereby found and declared to be tme and correct.SECTION:!.The City Council hereby declares the 1400 Block of the street named "12'hStreet" located between Avenues N and 0, within the City limits to now benamed "James Patton Street".SECTION 3.All other ordinances or parts of ordinances, or resolutions in conflict with theOrdinance are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.SECTION 4.If any portion of the Ordinance shall, for any reason, be declared invalid by anycourt of competent jmisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the remainingprovision hereof.SECTION 5.The City Secretary or appropriate City staff is directed to notify property ownersand other service providers of the name change including, but not limited to, thelocal Huntsville Fire Department. the appropriate utilities and franchises, and theWalker County 911 Emergency Network. Further the City Public WorksDepartment or appropriate City staff is directed to put up new street signs.SECTION 6. If is further directed that the City Secretary or appropriate City staff record thename change in the Official Public Records of Real Property for Walker CountyPASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED on the �/�dayof t)JuheL� .2022.
